I'm still battling with perspective and still losing.
I'm still trying to color stuff and still it looks like crap.
But I like it anyway.

Wow! pretty cool picture! Allthough the colours seem a little flat. Try using a soft edged burn tool on the areas that catch shadow (thats if your using photoshop :D)

To tell you the truth, I've tried that in my early drawings - like [link] Then I tried flat colouring - [link] - an it turned out pretty well. [link] was also 'flat coloured', but doesn't look bad (except maybe the pants) IMO. The problem with this chaplain might be that it's not 'sketchy' enough and there is too much of flat armour.
But thanks for the tip, I guess I'll try experimenting that again :)

My advice on this guy is to turn the burn tool down to like 10 percent, use quite a big size too, it makes for smoother softer highlights/shadows.

Oh btw, forgot to mention, Im LOVING the background.

A long time ago I wanted to draw a WWI pic inspired by [link] Battle of Passchendaele, but I didn't ever finish it and all that I got was 1600p wide 4-layer background. I just copied a bit of it and added a marine on the first layer xD
